CIRRUS ARS MAGICA
CIRRUS ARS MAGICA
Cirrus Ars Magica, also known as Magic Jelly, origin of name derives from Latin word meaning Arts Magical.
Size of these jellies range sporadically, but most lie in between 3in to 6in diameter. A giant fluther of Cirrus Ars Magica was spotted once in Southern California in the 1980's where magical things kept occurring without any scientific explanation.
These jellies are extremely considerate and warm-hearted, despite their life in cold water. They are brilliant and understanding, if you befriend one you can never get enough. They love ice-cream. They bring magic to your life.
Fabric Jellyfish carefully and delicately handmade with heat-manipulated and hand-cut organza.
The bell(or hood) of the jellyfish uses semi-transluscent shimmery aquamarine organza.
The tentacles are created with heat-shocked coral pink organza.
Between 3.5" to 4" in diameter; 10" to 12" in tentacle length.
Each jellyfish is attached with 4ft long lightweight monofilament for easy installation, and comes in Sayuri's World gift box. (See last photo)
Handmade with love and care by Sayuri.
Intended to be hung in mid-air in a natural light abundant setting with some subtle air movement.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: As each jellyfish is handmade no two will be alike, so your piece will not look exactly like the one photographed but it will be very similar. This is also the intention of the artist to create an organic and expressionistic interpretation of nature through her eyes.
